Interface and Experience Testing for Mobimeo GmbH

 

Mobimeo is a daughter start-up of the German National Railway (Deutsche Bahn), which began as a venture of BCG X.

In this long-term engagement as a member of the User Experience research team, I led UX testing and customer research projects on a number of topics.

Notably, one project explored the viability of a new ticketing technology, XiXo (Check-in, Check-out), which would eliminate the need for purchasing tickets and automatically provide the customer with the best fare(s) for their public transportation journey.

To inform the product teams’ implementation of this technology, I executed a short and concise qualitative study:

  • n=8

  • Targeted local customers of Stuttgart, which has one of the most complex ticketing structures in Germany

  • 1-on-1 interviews including guided discussion, card sorting and high-level concept feedback

Additional projects at Mobimeo included qualitative moderated usability testing and several quanitative surveys to understand customer behaviors regarding early-stage product concepts.
