Consulting to Ramp-up the Research Capability at emnify GmbH

Emnify, a German telco start-up with a connectivity solution for IoT devices, was an engineering driven company until late 2022 when they began to invest in building out a design organization.

I joined as a UXR consultant to support the newly hired Head of Design in ramping up their research capability. Taking a service design approach to the challenge, I onboarded product managers, product designers and management into the initiative. Beginning with 1-on-1 interviews with the team & a short survey, I used Dovetail to document the research outcomes and educate my stakeholders on how research works at every stage of the process.

In a very short engagement, I successfully delivered the following:

• Implementation of Dovetail (research repository), Maze (unmoderated test platform) & GDPR compliant recruitment framework to establish UX Research practice within newly formed Design organization

• Coaching of Product Managers on successful UX Research methodologies

• Built UXR Playbook, including process documentation & video tutorials
